Description
Panzer VK 4500 is the name given to this model by the model maker, however, it is actually the Porsche VK 45.02 (P). Porsche and Henschel were working to design tanks that might replace the Tiger I and due to problems with the engine the Porsche design was rejected but the Henschel design continued. The turrets were manufactured by Krupp and at the time the Porsche tank was cancelled Krupp had already completed 50 of them. These 50 were used on the Henschel designed hull and later a new turret also built by Krupp replaced it on the assembly line. None of these were ever used in combat or even completed. This is a speculative model design based on what Porsche intended to build.
